Present Perfect
01 · Quick explanation
A past action connected to now: experience, a result now, or an unfinished period.
02 · Full explanation
Form it with have / has + past participle (V3): regular verbs add -ed (worked), irregular verbs have special forms (go → gone, see → seen, write → written). Use has with he, she, it. We use it when the exact time is not said or not important, when the result matters now, and with since (a point in time) and for (a period) for situations that continue until now. Do not use it with finished time words such as yesterday, last year or in 2020 — use Past Simple there.
03 · Formula
04 · Affirmative
+ Subject + have / has + V3
- I have read this book.
- She has lost her phone.
05 · Negative
− Subject + haven't / hasn't + V3
- We haven't finished yet.
- He hasn't called me.
06 · Question
? Have / Has + subject + V3?
- Have you ever been to Turkistan?
- Has the film started?
